Solar panels and battery storage designed together from the ground up — maximum self-consumption, better value, and a single installation by our own licensed electricians.
Installing solar and battery as a combined package means the system is engineered to work together from day one. A hybrid inverter handles both solar generation and battery charging in a single unit — simpler, more efficient, and less expensive than retrofitting a battery later.
We review 12 months of your actual electricity bills before designing anything. Our SAA-accredited Master Electricians handle everything — design, installation, grid connection paperwork, and aftercare. No subcontractors.
Why a Combined Install
The advantage of doing it at once
Hybrid inverter design
One inverter manages both solar generation and battery charging — more efficient and cheaper than separate components.
Maximum self-consumption
System configured to use your solar first, store the rest, and only draw from the grid when needed.
Better value
Combined installation costs less than separate solar and battery installs. One mobilisation, one crew, one connection.
Optimised system sizing
Battery capacity sized against your solar generation and usage profile — not a generic household estimate.
Blackout protection
Most battery systems we install include blackout protection. Configured and tested before we leave.
Government rebates
We apply all available solar and battery incentives directly to your quote and handle all paperwork.
The Process
How it works
01
Full energy assessment
We review 12 months of bills and your future plans — EV, pool, home office — before designing anything.
02
Combined system design
Solar array, battery capacity, and hybrid inverter sized together for your actual usage. Rebate paperwork handled.
03
On-site verification
We confirm roof suitability, switchboard requirements, and battery location before installation day.
04
Installation & commissioning
Our licensed electricians complete the full install in typically one day. App setup and handover included.
FAQ
Common questions
Is it cheaper to install solar and battery together?
Yes — installing together avoids a second mobilisation fee, and a hybrid inverter is typically less expensive than adding a battery inverter later. The total installed cost is lower.
What size battery do I need alongside solar?
We size the battery to your typical overnight consumption. For most households, a 10–14kWh battery captures most excess solar generation. We model this against your actual bills.
Which battery brands do you install?
We install Tesla Powerwall, BYD Battery-Box, Enphase IQ Battery, and sonnenBatterie eco. We recommend the best fit for your specific setup and budget.
What rebates are available?
The federal SRES reduces the upfront cost of the solar via STCs, and since 1 July 2025 the Cheaper Home Batteries Program extends STCs to the battery too — around 30% off an eligible battery install. Around 30% is the headline figure and it holds for a typical home battery, but the scheme is tiered: since 1 May 2026 it pays the full per-kWh rate on the first 14 kWh of usable capacity, 60% of that rate from 14 to 28 kWh, and 15% above that. The underlying rate also steps down through to 2030. We calculate the exact figure for the capacity you install and show it on your quote. In Victoria the battery can also be stacked with the Solar Homes interest-free loan. We apply all eligible incentives to your quote.
